Watching this gig on YouTube right now.

Imagine being a teenager in '85 and attending this concert....

Bruce Bruce dominated the entire venue!!!

When the band came to Greece in '95, they were already past their prime and at their last peak, as I really dig The X Factor

This is an all time goat live album tbh, regardless of genre.

This was my first album ever. My dad had it on vinyl and didn't like it. I was so drawn in by the cover. The moment I heard Aces High my mind blew up. I was 9.

Finally listening to this.

Aces High sounds damn good.

We'll see how this goes.

(Remaster).

I might buy the CD later.

The Trooper is badass on here.

I def will have to listen to this more, but the band sounded killer on here.

On Powerslave (song) atm.

Already I feel this is one of the great metal live albums.

Decades go by and heavy metal musicians are still a long way from reaching this level

"After much consideration, it is with both sorrow and joy, I announce my decision to take a step back from the grind of the extensive touring lifestyle"

Nicko

One of heavy metal's most iconic drummers. A hero in my teens

They said fuck it, we are picking up a new drummer. Hard to believe.

As much as I love the band, Steve may be taking things too far

-- Hard to believe

McBrain is into his septuagenarian era, and while guitarists can weather the said decade, drummers with Nicko's pedigree and back catalogue, unfortunately can't.

Not to mention that bands such as Iron Maiden are deeply accountable to their management, which is adamant about copious touring for obvious reasons, so it's not hard to figure out why he is retiring.

I can't imagine playing drums for 2 hours a night in my 70s

I would LOVE to see Bobby Jarzombek or even a Mike Mangini fill it in for the live shows

Nicko is irreplaceable, at least for me. A bit like KK in Priest and Tate in Ryche

Charlie Charlesworth is the most logical choice though. Give the guy the spotlight!
