In other news...
It's an album I could easily 5, however I'm still working my way through the last 2 tracks. Don't know why, but they don't feel as strong to me. Specifically, I think it deserved a better closer. My I'll come around with this thought, though.
Edit: maybe I'll try that winona clip

'fuck you'
DDD bro wtf haha. I was not being snarky or joking. I think it's a 'good' album...Definitely better than the last two, though not sure I'd place it above NEW BERMUDA (and I've also got that at a 3.0).

lol it was an humoristic "fuck you" and your 3's (as good) XD I'm ok with it (them all)
Definitely my fave from them, New Bermuda close second tbh

Yeah, I'm actually kinda confused on the Winona hype myself. I think there are a few better tracks

Magnolia, Revelator, Amethyst and Body Behavior are all killer tracks on this.

It is promising to see them at least trending back toward the style of music at which they actually excel. INFINITE GRANITE was...borderline embarrassing.

Winona works better as the closer. It's crazy that such a strong track is stuck being the penultimate track on the album.

I like the one-two punch at the end.
Both songs are ridiculously massive, but Winona is more the peak and orange tree is the comedown

Heathen & Winona might be the weakest outside of the interludes. Actually the closer isn’t amazing either, so yeah it maybe doesn’t end all that well. Infinitely better than Infinite Granny tho / “back toward the style of music at which they actually excel” (2)*
*relatively speaking / I can see the appeal and I’m actually preferring this to Sunbather thus far

Winona is one of the best but agreed about Heathen and the closer.

Amethyst is pretty nice jam. I definitely feel like they go for the epic climaxes a little too often, but that’s a good encapsulation of their sound here. It works well in isolation

Damn, I think Winona is probably the best here. Amethyst is close though.
Orange Tree I like, but I agree DDD, it doesn’t quite reach the heights that I would expect the closer of an album of this magnitude to reach. Still great, but definitely no Pecan Tree. Grapefruit Tree next closer, heard.

And yeah, Heathen is “bottom” tier, but bottom tier off this album is still great.

Insane take, it is absolutely good at what it is doing. If it's not for you that's fine, but to say it's not good is just head up your ass logic lmao.

works in this context tho. I kinda low-key like “garbo” zak. Is this controversial?
