Ooo, it's like an Afterman EP. This sounds interesting! If Coheed know anything, it's how to hype up their fanbase, that's for sure!

Super hype. Further threading Vaxis 3 with the afterman series is really neat

After a (re)run, this is the best Vaxis so far. Also, I don't get why people deem Window inferior to Creatures, it's a perfectly fine pop-metal record while Creatures is tepid beyond any belief and practically dies after three songs.

man, the album runs out of steam in the first third already

the first three actual songs are great imo but later it's just a mass of fine but not very engaging ones, except maybe The Gutter and the closer

Creatures with 3 or 4 tracks trimmed would be ace.

Cut "True Ugly" and "Night-Time Walkers" and you've got yourself a spicy meatball.

Yuko was the worst of the new Key Entity tracks. Not a bad pop tune but the Key Entity tag wasn't really earned. Admittedly it slots in quite nicely with the other meatier new songs.

Melvin is awesome, Peter is perhaps the best song on the whole Vaxis III record, Shiloh is decent but I can see it growing.

I bought all 4 songs on iTunes and burned a little EP. No point in buying the whole album again.

Ah I disagree about Yuko. It grew on me.

Peter should have 100% been on Vaxis. If the purpose of Entity tracks is to mirror Sirius's mindset, it would have worked nicely to show him struggling to let go of Meri. Definitely has the emotional heft necessary for this album.

The rest of the tracks I could honestly leave. None of them do much besides serve as pop songs with an "Entity" tag on them. There's no story or connection to Sirius' story.

New songs didn't do a whole lot for me. They're good and all but don't touch the Ascension Key Entity tracks. I'll give them more listens though because this is based on one time through. Guitar tones are pretty monstrous though.

The worst Entity before this was "Hollywood" and Yuko, Shilo, and Melvin are about on par with that song. Peter is really well done.

Sentry was the worst for me. Never cared for it nor most of Descension. I love Holly Wood besides the corny "she's a few cards short of a full deck, a joker in the game" line.
