Oof gonna have to disagree here. I loved HUD and, while WAC was great, it felt like a huge step down from the Bates albums.

And yeah… I love the stripped back and remixed renditions but I don’t think I like any of them more than the originals. The Full of Hell Eyes Like Nightshade remix was a really inspired choice tho!

re-listened to Coma White last night via playing the Guitar Hero chart; it was the only song of his I still really had any lingering affection for, but after hearing it again I realized I'm at a point where I know fifty other artists that can pull this off better and there's really no listen to return to any Manson material at all.

I'll still listen to Bleed From Within's over of the Fight Song. Cover versions done before the truth came out about problematic artists are fine imo as the covering act didn't know and shouldn't be at fault. Like I'll still listen to Cavalera Conspiracy's cover of The Exorcist by Possessed despite Jeff Becerra being a wrong un (though Mike Torrao wrote all the lyrics and all the music except the intro which was a cover of Tubular Bells, so Jeff had no hand in the actual composition)

Jesus Christ I can't believe this guy gave a 3.3 staff review to a Falling in Reverse album. That should be a fireable offense

I remember researching the story up until I just felt that it was complete BS but I've moved on since and cannot really remember anything apart from the fact that I did believe Manson to be entirely innocent.

I just read that the falsified FBI document these luddites keep bringing up was... just another unproven claim (i.e. as made up as the SA allegations that you think are untrue) and was dismissed. in fact Manson was ordered to pay the legal fees for this case.

how convenient that these unproven claims are being argued as unequivocally true, despite railing against that exact thing!

Shocking people believe accusations about a guy who wrote in his book about how close he came to burning his ex girlfriend alive in her bed and said he fantasized about smashing another girlfriend's head in with a hammer. Or when he called a girl he was interested in on the phone and tried to get her attention by saying ‘You better not leave work tonight, because we’re going to rape you in the parking lot and then crush you underneath your own car'.
This is all shit he himself admitted to freely without even being asked. And I'm to believe all these accusers are just making up that he followed through on some of those fantasies? Some only retracted their claims because of death threats against them by weirdass fans like some of the ones in these comments. I don't believe Ellie Roswell ever retracted that he filmed up her skirt with a gopro, Esme Bianco still believes he should be criminally charged, Ashley Walters hasn't recanted hers, and I believe there's still another Jane Doe.

But it's all just a conspiracy I guess.
