Just had to remember how bad some of the more mainstream stuff gets but I don’t think that makes Chevelle good by default. They have a handful of songs I enjoy well enough (mostly Shameful Metaphors) but I tried listening to This Type of Thinking… recently and I nearly died of boredom

I'd probably get on with this better if I found the lyrics more impactful. Really wanted to like this - I'm a sucker for this kind of subject matter - but it's too bland and trite here imo.
