Okay here's the thing. If the buck TRULY stopped there, I don't think as many people would have issues. Hell, for me personally, I don't want the surgery at all. I'm terrified of going under for non-emergency reasons, and I don't view it as an emergency.

It's obvious that that's a smokescreen for most though. First it's under 18, then it's stuff like that OK bill that just passed that bans care under 26 YEARS OLD. I would literally not be able to get hormones in Oklahoma because I turn 24 in 2 months. One of my closest friends HAD TO BE TAKEN OFF HRT BECAUSE OF THAT BILL.

I'd like to know that reasoning is behind it being 26 vs 18, are there things in America you're not allowed to do until 26 like not being allowed to drink alcohol until 21?

in america you are allowed to be on your parents insurance plan as a dependent until 26 y/o so i imagine that plays a part. government is in the pocket of private insurance companies who would foot the bill far more if services are eligible under parental-dependency plans.
