"the first half of the first paragraph is so true unfortunetely, I feel like that about everything now, it is not that I do not want to enjoy new experiances, it is that everything in this new age sucks, it has taken all the originality and diversity out of everything due to tech and algorithems to find what people will like or not." In an era where bands are genre bending more than ever this is hilarious

dudes I listen to everything from jazz and big band to death metal and everything in between, everything now is made to a template, for people who will only give you 10 seconds or your out the door, music cant be different becasue it is predeterminred crap that people want to hear. I here new music and some is good, been doen before, but good. I always hear how open music is now, I dont buy it,

"The biggest problem is one of length and repetition. Except for “Lux Aeturna” through “Chasing Light”, there isn’t a single track that couldn’t benefit from some trimming. Behind all the bloat is a collection of four-to-five-minute tracks that could provide a quick punch and be gone before ever starting to feel stale. The song lengths are exacerbated by the very jam-oriented feel to the album."
Could not have said it better. This has been a constant issue since 'Death Magnetic' unfortunately... Iron Maiden also suffers from this curse in modern times. Megadeth is exempt from it in lieu of their past releases.
The first three songs are actually really good! as is Lux Æterna. Inamorata is just effing ridiculous.

I don't think I ever told this story, but this album literally broke my ass. When it dropped in 2008 I went on a hike at night to jam it, and I wound up listening to it 3 times in a row in a secluded park while swinging on a swingset. It was a fantastic time. I wake up the next day and my ass cheeks are just destroyed. Pulled pork. Couldn't move for like 2 days.
Good times

Let me tell you something, repeating someone's words as a comeback is the lamest thing you could possibly do. It shows that you don't have a single original thought in that tiny little brain of yours, and that the only way you know how to argue is by copying someone else's words like a parrot. It's like you're so desperate to win an argument that you'll stoop to the lowest level of intellectual laziness just to get one up on your opponent. But newsflash, buddy: it doesn't work. You just end up looking like a sad, pathetic loser who can't come up with anything clever or original to say.
And let's not forget how hurtful and damaging this kind of behavior can be. It's a way of dismissing someone's ideas and belittling them without actually engaging with their argument. It's the ultimate cop-out, a way of shutting down conversation and preventing any real progress from being made.
So, here's the deal: if you want to engage in real debate and discussion, you need to grow a pair and come up with your own damn arguments. Don't be a coward who hides behind other people's words. Be your own person, think for yourself, and actually contribute something of value to the conversation. Otherwise, just shut the hell up and let the adults do the talking.

One of the first shows after Cliff died... I haven't seen them play with more intensity than this, and every song seems to hover around 1.25x - 1.5x speed.

This is the Metallica that influenced so many bands and musicians who have made metal music since. They were savage and incredible, top of the pile
