I'll never get over the growth from WIITB to this. Never in a million years did I see that coming. Very similar to the way I later felt when TDAG came after the insufferable (for me) Deja.

If you just take creativity, talent, and execution into account I think this is a top 3 post hardcore album of all time. It’s not as influential as the other greats, but I don’t think that’s a knock against this album. This sound is very unique (Nate is an extremely talented vocalist)

I’m gonna have to revisit this. I liked the single but the rest just reminded me of… like… Deftones Lite or even Incubus circa Megalomaniac.

I don’t peg more than 2-3 songs on here even in the Incubus/standard alternative-realm. Every song here has its own unique structure/traits imo
The fact that I am still amazed by this album is enough to convince me it’s an all time great lol. Obliviously this sound isn’t for everyone though

I really think they’ve should’ve made Miro the lead single instead of Bitemarks and Bloodstains. I think that could’ve helped the poor album sales
