haven't jammed much cure only heard like ten songs but at no point was I reminded of the smiths

unless they used to hate each other or something

morrissey doesn't seem like he'd have many friends

I dunno like I got this vivid image of his personality in my head from listening to his music and then I watched a few interviews and live performances and he was exactly how I had imagined him

This is slightly better than Disintegration, just to compare my favorite albums by both artists (of the albums I've heard).

I don't dig that one as much, although the album is excellent

Alright, I don't see how the Cure and The Smiths could ever be compared. But, both are amazing bands. Although, In my opinion, I feel that the Cure is much better than The Smiths. Disintegration and Pornography are both leagues ahead of anything The Smiths have ever released. And Kiss Me, Faith, Bloodflowers and Seventeen Seconds are all almost, or just as good as anything The Smiths has ever done.

That being said, I'm not saying The Smiths are bad. Not at all, I love them to death. This album is an absolute classic along with s/t. But I don't think The Cure should ever be compared to them. Ever.
