"YO SLIPKNOT RULES, LB IS FOR PUSSIES"

Me, age 15, after having been a Bizkit fan until the year before.

Deep diving the whole discog and honestly ‘The Priest’ might have become my favourite LB tune even though it’s derivative as hell and played with a straight face

I'm hoping the high average for this boosts up the rating for Gold Cobra because that album is several times better than this

The review is right on the money.

"So with that, the three-dollar question is simple"

$3 question, nice

"it’s hard to shake the feeling the entire album is a shade half-baked and lacking in substantial content (which is completely ironic given the time it’s had to fester in the oven). Still Sucks contains twelve tracks that clock in at just over thirty-two minutes, with an average run time sitting at about two-and-a-half minutes"

spot on as is the rest of the paragraph

"The biggest issues I have with Still Sucks is with the aforementioned run time which causes problems with the cohesion, and its inability to stop and savour what is being created. If you include the bonus tracks on Gold Cobra, the album is nearly double the length of this one"

Again, agreed, although I would say Gold Cobra overstays its welcome (even though the bonus tracks are absolute bangers!)

"Further distractions stop Still Sucks from fully flourishing"

Again, very well put

"Thankfully, “Goodbye”’s bouncy acoustic guitar and upbeat electronics made up for this blunder and ended the album on a very positive note"

What a closer! Unabashed 90s rnb tune, wasn't expecting that at all.

So yeah, definitely agree with the review and some of the comments here (incohesive, front loaded (aside from Goodbye), yet still fun) and that hopefully they'll throw an EP or LP in the short run.

Now the Sputnik community needs to address those delirious ratings because there is no way this is the best LB album

Don't worry, the more people who rate this, the lower the average will go. Tho tbh it is probably the most consise and consistent LP they've put out, even if nothing on here comes close to their best singles.

Most concise, well if you consider Unquestionable Truth as an LP this one is actually a bit longer. Although probably similar if you remove the skits.

Most consistent, disagree, I'd say Truth (again), Starfish, and especially $3 are more consistent than this.

What I think we are witnessing is simply a shift in how the band is being perceived, if not by the metal (loosely defined) community, at least the Sputnik user base.

G.cobra is hands down their most consistent album. Nearly every song is a banger

After listening to the whole discog I think this is their 2nd worst, only ‘Results May Vary’ is behind it.

‘Cobra’, ‘Unquestionable’ and ‘Three Dollar’ are all better by a distance

yeah 3$ is their best imho. This is probs more consice/consistent though, I maintain, just doesn't hit the highest highs of pretty much every other record they've done

Hey TheSonomaDude..I stopped giving a shit after you said “are the like” 🥴 this album, while definetly in need of a few more heavier songs was a worthy banger of an album 🤘 with the only exception being the inxs cover which grinspoon covered flawlessly. 4.5/5
