sorry dude. Piece of Mind was my first Maiden record and I'll always love it. Side 1 of it is perfect, and while side 2 might not be quite as good I'd say it stands up with the worse tracks on here.

prefer Powerslave to both though.

I don't know man, for me Invaders and Gangland (being arguably the weakest songs off this album), are so much more enjoyable than Quest for Fire (which is just bad) and Sun and Steel. But hey, to each their own.

I actually rather like Invaders, just saying it's not quite as good as most of the other songs here.

Doesn't get any better than 80's Maiden.

Agreed with Pleb, as much as 70s Priest rules, Maiden wins in my book.

Damn, 22 Acacia Avenue is so good

you're right, first 7 maidens are all classics but like rocka rolla, point of entry and to an extent killing machine just aren't up to scratch

Killing Machine is up there with Priest's best for me. It has a couple of weak tracks but I prefer it to pretty much everything they've released since.

Maiden were definitely more consistent than Priest though, agreed.

Sad Wings > anything Maiden have done, though.
