Definitely worth another spin. Rules just as hard as when I first listened to it. Prefer the latter half at this point tho
I even came around to Bernie Sanders, simply based on how fucking weird it is.

yeah same re bernie, still the weakest track here but once that lil 'duu-duuu' riff kicks in it's pure bliss like all of this goddamn beautiful and hot album

bernie sanders is definitely the weak link here

Bernie is definitely the weakest here, but not a bad song by any means.
As far as S tier songs go, Blue Mecca is like S+

still only have one go-to song here and that's in blueberry memories, April ha ha / catch a fade both have grown on me a lot tho. i used to think the Alex g feature part was lazy and kind of boring but now i rly like it

It's a decent album
They really should have kicked off with Say Less and ditched the opener altogether
|
| |
can get behind that

the opener also has grown on me tbh
say less is honestly low tier on this album for me. it's not dynamic in a way i want it to be when i listen to it , kind of just feels like one part stretched out to be a song that sounds really good but that kind of just goes nowhere. i do like it but it's def missing something
|
| |
yeah, the album really starts on April Ha Ha, but Say Less would probs be a better opener

my issue with the opener is petty bc it literally just sounds exactly like neil Halstead's vocal melody on machine gun by slowdive when he says "son of sheba"
that was def my least favorite song at first but have grown to appreciate the subtleties and the mary lattimore feature is actually pretty cool in how its used
