The beats are deceptively complex, they seem simple a lot of the time at first but there’s so many subtle additions and changes that he implements, and he knows how to build intensity really well.

In "Out of Sight" he keeps the bass tight until after the first chorus, then he has a longer release and it fills more space. I like little things like that.

2 chainz needed to be going in on el-p beats like, five years ago
to me, feels like these dudes have become a one trick pony but that one trick is good

I don't like 2 Chainz.

i wish i agreed with that! genuinely. i've just started listening to this so no comments on quality of the album yet, but RTJ production has never struck me as more impressive than like, 'southern fried' or 'iron galaxy'

Correction: 'Cold Vein' gets close to 'too much of the one good thing'.
The runtime is bloated.
This? 39 minutes. Hardly any fat. Well done all involved.

Last two tracks on this may be two of the best they've ever done. Only song I really can't get into is JU$T...

It's pretty eh. Another wasted De La Rocha feature.

Not a big fan of El-P as rapper, especially some of his flows on this record. But his production totally makes up for it.
