the 1975 have some decent singles but don't put yourself through listening to a full album by them, it's not worth it

Mh, then maybe I'll check a few singles and decide from there on. Thanks!

NiT&EiP: Banger after banger after banger ... I'm still in love. The decade started great for me

Album is growing on me a lot, just as I expected it, but I still have one issue with it, I wish some of the songs were longer. Shikari proved on past albums that they can make some really exciting longer compositions (like Jigsaw Pieces, Radiate, Never Let Go of the Microscope or All Eyes on the Saint) and I think it's kinda shame that most of these tracks end quickly after third chorus or so and mostly follow quite traditional song structures. Marionettes is the only exception and it's awesome, if I take it as one song.

I noticed all the singles were around three minutes and really short. It's a new thing for them, probably a conscious decision

It's really uneven. Bar the interludes, why did they put stuff like modern living or pressure's on, on the album? God, why?

Because these songs are good, that's why.

And because it's an album about possibilities so it should be as diverse as possible. But tbh it's Shikari so that's kinda given anyway

Modern Living takes some risks that I don't think pay off but it's still decent, and The Pressure's On is one of the best songs here.

Modern Living has grown on me so much. Feels like it's a song that is cheerful in the face of doom and gloom, which is pretty much life right now

I'd say Marrionettes is the best followed by TINA and Satellites.

As an album, it's very consistent but I'm not feeling any of these songs to be in their top 10 imo
