It feels like they are embracing an acoustic, folkier genre in the reimagined tracks too, instead of stripping them bare just for the hell of it or to make it sound “unplugged.” The harmonica in High School Friends is a nice touch.
I don’t think From Exile will be anything mind-blowing, but it could make me actually care about some of these tracks, and that’s a nice little surprise.

i really like half the songs here and i'm feelinga bit lukewarm on the other half. 3.5 is probably generous for this but i can't resist catchy stuff

I wasn't huge on this album at first but the more time I have with it the more it grows. I'd say it is on par with Rented World, but clearly not near as good as OTIP or ATP

I love the melody and lyric on the "I have so much to tell you, I have so much to say" part but the rest of the song is pretty bland

Just finished From Exile, and gonna say I enjoyed it more on first listen then I did with this.
But.... I was already familiar with the songs, so not a fair comparison.

The songs on From Exile are excellent, but as an album you get fatigued. 3 or 4 songs at a time is perfect.
Still better than Hello Exile.

It's actually the perfect accompaniment, but recommend to listen to a few tracks at a time.

Yeah, it's great background music. You get excited for the first 4 tracks, then almost forget it's on and just zone out. But then 5 minutes later you are singing along again.
