Weird. I thought most people were aware of this stereotype. Maybe it's because people in the UK (a big portion of sputnik) aren't subjected to it because of their protestant past? The rest of Europe sometimes looks at Americans like they are naive God-fearing people who have sex only after marriage and so on. The way I see it is that the sex culture and porn culture of the US is often blown out of proportions by their mass media, but truth is that Germans and French kind of were into hard porn far before Americans knew about it. Also, current material from Germany and Italy is quite fucked up even compared to the Japanese industry.



My personal experience, as a girl who wants to become a traditional wife, well, I've always thought American guys have purer intensions with me and are more trustworthy than the European dudes I met.
