I found Go Farther late, last year. It's been on replay since my first listen constantly. I just keep coming back. I saw it on the year end list here but never checked out for whatever reason. It was my record of the year in 2018 haha

I find it really hard to give 5s. I'm like, what am I saying in giving a 5? That this album reaches a certain threshold of emotional impact? And if so, for past me or present me? And sometimes I might feel like an album "objectively" deserves a 5 even though I don't feel in love with it. But then I'm like, is that okay? I can worry that such verdicts reflect the pressure of the community to appreciate the album and I'm like, but do *I* like it?
I can look at my list of 5s and feel really uncertain about whether those choices really belong there.

So glad I listened to this album first. I listened to Wildlife today and found it a bit grating. Had I started there I'm not sure I would have bothered with this.

Yeah I agree. Sowing if you love this you will most definitely dig Rooms. Their older stuff leans more into the post hardcore realm so I see why you don’t dig it as much.

Yea I tried listening to the first two song of Somewhere At The Bottom And it’s just so overbearing but his vox are just low enough in the mix here that it works for me. Really amazing record. I loooove View From Our Bedroom Window.

The worst thing I can say about this album is that I enjoyed it when I listened to it a couple times, but I have no real urge to go out and listen to it again. I guess we'll see where my rating lands in time.
