Hot take. They've become corporate trash now though.

gonna finish the last few songs from this today. I hope it's just as good as the first half, two thirds of this album.

when TTS came out i was furious at just how much they procured their sound for mainstream rock. now they've procured their sound to fit mainstream top 40 pop. while it has its moments and some ambition, looking back at my initial TTS fury, i wish they still sounded like that if they weren't going to follow the brilliant sempiternal dynamics. Curious to know how a whole album with songs similar to mantra and sugar honey would've been. Hell I'm even more curious to know just how amazing they couldve been if they followed sempiternal sound. we will most likely never know.

The second time I listened to it was better than the first. It has its missteps, but overall I had fun listening to it. The lyrics especially bring nothing new to the table. Also, "why you gotta kick me when i'm down?" sounds like a Man of the Woods B-Side.

So I thought these guys couldn't release something worse than That's The Spirit. Boy was I wrong...

What happened to the people that wrote Sempiternal? That one was great.

I mean, it's very telling that most people 1'ing this are more into the "heavy" stuff. At least Nocte was consistent, bashing Sempiternal years ago in the same way he bashed Amo this year.

Yeah no shit, naturally people who are into heavy stuff already know this band because of their earlier sound. Also Sempinternal is miles away from this, how is bashing one but not the other inconsistent. Yer dumb.
