It's so bad that literally every band is just sitting on their finished albums til touring is back. New ETID was supposed to be out mid 2020, now look at us.
It's all gonna be released in the same few months, which makes it hard to give any album the time it deserves and 100% means everyone's gonna miss out on great albums/bands that'll just get lost in the shuffle with that many releases from established bands.
Mid sized bands like Vein need to release their stuff now where it gets more attention. I have no clue why bands & labels are still counting on touring coming back soon and tieing the releases to that. It's not gonna happen this year and in Europe many more months after that. And that's hoping new mutations won't fuck shit up right back to square one (looking at you Lambda)

yeah i really doubt touring will be back until at LEAST like mid summer next year. the winter virus season is going to fuck a lot of people, everyone will go nuts during spring again, and maybe shit will settle down by the summer. I really want to go to maryland death fest but I doubt it'll happen, or be safe to go to rn.
