So this is really good then... technical instrumental stuff that isn't tiresome & overly indulgent, nice. Some of the drumming is beastly.

So I enjoyed this on first listen. Drummer and guitar player are really talented. It reminds me more of like Chon and Plini and just virtuoso instrument playing shit like that. But I also don’t really actively listen to stuff like that because I find it a bit exhausting in the shreddy aspect so it’s just something I probably won’t be revisiting too much. Not to say it’s not well written and extremely impressive what these guys are doing... it’s just not my cup. I much prefer something like Russian Circles in this realm where everything is a bit more subdued and less like “holy shit listen to these linear gospel fills over these crazy tapping licks”

I think they do a decent job of spacing out the craziness with mellower sections, that's why it works for me. It's reminiscent of some idm/breaks style stuff that I've heard where the beats are very intense & complex, but usually interspersed with calmer passages.

Imagine how huge it would be if an instrumental album got #1 for the year, that would be absolute history. I'm praying

and then #1 gets beaten by a tiny sput circle jerk over italian screamo.

The sound bites are a little cheesy but this is a really nice album to just zone out too. I really like the emphasis on rhythm over showboatiness especially with the guitar work.

You're gonna make me listen to this again FUCK... there's definitely no wankery here... but I stand by my opinion on the vocals...

I really dug what deftoned said about having different vocalists interpreting the songs in their own way...

Album is tight AF, but not a classic IMO.

I like this on first listen but I'm not quite sure how much yet. It's defintiely a dense record but the atmosphere is brilliant.

I'm allowed to like the album and think some of the sound bites are cheesy lol. Only really like one specific one where its the same thing repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I know there's a purpose and I'm not that dense. But they're also so brief that its such a minor grievance to an otherwise really solid album.

Music is next level shit but yes, the sound bites are cheesy and pretentious. Sorry. Hardly puts a dent in the album overall, though.
