I can totally see why Carti is annoying to some people tbh but it's funny when people get angry about it or act like it's the downfall of society

Because most of the time he's not even rapping, case in point: Jump Out The House, he's just repeating the same bar over and over until he repeats another several times
Or Cashin, he's just talking on top of the beat.

yeah that's a weird argument. If there was a really repetitive metal album you would probably just say it's a repetitive metal album, not that it isn't metal because it's repetitive

To me its more so trying to convey a mood through the rhythm of a song rather than through the lyrics, seems like a natural progression of trap music since the tracks don’t center on lyrics in trap music.
Likewise you can take a traditional hip-hop lyricist, for example Nas, that puts their focus on lyricism over the beats the rap over and in turn you can still end up with mediocre music despite good lyrics (excluding his newest album).
Lyrics are not everything

It came def can be hit or miss since the music relies on getting the groove of a track stuck in your head, so if that doesn’t resonate with you there’s less reason to revisit it since the vocals act as part of the beat in a way. There’s no deep lyrics here to dissect just music to vibe out to. When i look at it this way it makes me enjoy it for what it is, it’s not lyrical because it’s not trying to be
Btw WLR was a 2 for me..

@robertsona yes, Die Lit is way better than WLR, I think Carti was having fun when he recorded the album, it doesn't help that Pierre Bourne's beats are amazing. On WLR he tries way too hard, like, I get it it's your "punk" album but it doesn't sound like he had as much fun as in Die Lit, also I think he takes himself way too seriously on WLR.
