Yes Snox, all because you love to talk shit, everyone has to secretly love it as well. Your personality is abhorrent.

Have I missed something? Most of this thread is discussing the music, what isn't simply comes across as tame banter. It's hardly as though people are slinging personal insults around.

I can understand finding parts of this thread tedious & uninteresting, therefore not enjoying its content but your reaction seems a little extreme.

Yeah, I'm overreacting. This thread has been more productive than usual Sput hype threads. Guess I'm just finding the cycle of people really enjoying an album, people making it their mission to shit on it and others making overly defensive statements back to be very tedious.

There does seem to be a pattern. I'd like to think the vast majority of users don't just jam something in order to potentially shoot it down though, I see a high average & it generates my interest. When it gets to this 'anti-hype' stage my curiosity starts to take over & I don't like missing out on the discussion, which probably sounds tragic.

Something is definitely going on with modern music however, how can the highest rated album from '17 (with a decent number of votes) be 4.04? That does appear extraordinarily low. I think there are people who're probably desperate to have comprehensive end of year lists & listen to anything & everything (probably only once/twice) before judging prematurely.

Of course everyone here loves to talk shit. It's a site where the most revered users from the past decade were the ones who trolled the hardest. This site thrives on conflict. There's a reason everyone says it's boring when there's a lull in threads like these.

You know it's true.

And yeah also it's all banter, I have more volatile conversations with my coworkers than I have """arguments""" and discussions here. This is a happy place of relaxation of friendly shit flinging. Fling a little shit with me.

Science Fiction was hanging about 4.18 before the allegations IIRC

the environment created by being able to easily get free music has allowed for an overall drop in quality for music at large, been happening since the mid-2000s. thanks napster.

I'd be more inclined to blame the listeners, not the creators in this instance. Particularly the new music/end of year list fiends.

Hmm, I've never rated a thread before. I'd give it a 3.5 to 4? Some solid discussion.

That's not befitting of the consensus above, therefore I shall award you with a higher objectivity score than you previously had (from my alternate universe). Well done.
