The ooz is a fantastic album front to back. Logos needs more love. Also the new one honestly wasn’t terrible, just on some weird shit.

King Krule's entire career is built around being on some weird shit so thats more of a sell than anything

The ooz is very rigidly structured for how atmospheric and narcotic it sounded. Not really finding much structure in the new one which is what my ears require, but I need to give it more listens to be sure.

There is intention behind nearly every sound on the Ooz. You can tell he outlined it all ahead of time and had a solid idea for each part of every song. Came into the Ooz with a gameplan.

no I’m describing the sound of taking your electric guitar and smashing it on a wall, in 4/4 time.

the entire album sounds like its slowly melting off the bones and the lethargic looseness of it all is like, 90% of its charm

Cellular, Alone, Omen 3, and (Don't Let the Dragon) Draag On are all more straight forward, linearly structured tracks than virtually anything on here...

But it’s also not off the cuff studio jams. Every instrumental idea is placed at a very specific point in the songs, and I’d bet when he plays them live they sound pretty similar to the album recordings.

I mean just listen to the album my man. There are multiple songs I could see being straight up excepts from live studio jams.
