There are definitely great female vocalists and now I'm listening to more music I'm unearthing them regularly. The Aimee Mann has really grabbed me this year, that's risen up the ranks and could finish top 5 of 2017 for me.

I tried her stuff back in the day and it didn't make too much of an impression but I think now I'd listen to it with fresh ears and find a lot more to connect with.

Funny you mention since i downloaded Aimee Mann earlier this week and plan on giving her a listen soon enough. Had such a turbulent summer i found it hard to listen to music regularly, so much catching up to do :D
