For so long I only really knew the Beatles' known hits. Then I decided to download the whole discography in original mastered

format (mono). Wow, they sound so much better in that format, and the songs are mostly much better than their stereo

counterparts. The prime example is sgt peppers (the whole album). This just blew me away. Awesome stuff. Abbey road,

revolver, rubber soul, white album are all great in their own rights but this has to be their best, musically and culturally.

When it comes to the Beatles, I guess I was a freshman, ain't no shame in that. Not like I didn't know 30+ songs or anything, I just had never sat down and heard their full albums (especially in mono). And I'm glad I did, and they are awesome from help onwards
