I agree with the album structure, but I'm not sure what could have been done to make it better. The album as a whole is a pretty emotionally taxing ordeal. Hard to sit through in one sitting regardless of the order of tracks.

they coulda just axed like two or three tracks, cut the slower shoegazy stuff. Easy fix imo, and would have made the pacing a bit better by keeping it at a generally higher tempo.

i've praised many non-linear albums. bands organize their tracklist for a reason, generally, and it doesn't always produce the best result. i feel like there is an undesirable juxtaposition between the first half of the album and the latter half. i also concede that it could simply be enjoyed as a separate listen, with different context.

it's not much to do with non-linear writing so much as some stuff just not being that good that could've been cut :3 Her off-key singing bits can get a bit grating, so I'd be fine with some of the lighter stuff getting cut.
