some passages of this album sounds very danceable
Ha never thought that would be a good descriptor for an album by Swans, but I think it fits this one. Sort of preceded by some of the shorter songs on TBK, having a real nice groove there.

this is the most tuneful and meditative of the trilogy and i love it for that

I'm one of those "old Swans is better" creeps - but man, this album knows how to start a day.

I find myself enjoying this almost more than To Be Kind, and To Be Kind is perhaps my favorite album of all time. The atmosphere on this is both intense and serene, never heard anything like it really. It's also very long and stellar all the way through, incredible!

More than TBK, I deem this record to be the definitive post rock album in all of the best ways. Like, this is more hypnotic and soul sucking than TBK and Seer.
