Shittons of concerts, Hawksbro.
Was at Wacken at the beginning of the month and saw Emperor and Napalm Death which was fucking awesome.
Just saw Clowns and Useless ID, going to see Silverstein, Alestorm, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (if you don't know them, check them out - particularly their LPs from All you need is love to Riders on the Storm), Thy Art is Murder, STYG/Silent Planet and Everytime I Die/Comeback Kid. Also going to see Cradle next year (they're playing here for like 30 bucks)
so yeah, shit's looking good in terms of music.

First day of real Winter in Northern Greece, and this album seamlessly clicked as a soundtrack.
I miss this band.

Really jealous right now. Southern Greece almost feels like summer, I'm closer to jamming Peter Tosh rather than these guys.

JESUS CHRIST! I didn't know what "hearse" meant, I think I was happy when I didn't know the meaning of the word.

My Arms, Your rodrigo.
Epilogue is amazing yeah. One of the many things about this album that prove how willing they were to try something offbeat. Ending an album like this with such a completely different track and making it work ... also pretty cool how the last sudden acoustic chord of the otherwise brutal Karma sets the stage for it. So many good ideas on this one.

musically this is lesser than a lot of their other records... but it's so organic and atmospheric and the concept probably feels the best. very evocative

I think I prefer Still Life's concept. That might be because I love how eerie and dark that story is without anything supernatural happening. It seems a bit obvious to tell a ghost story with an album like this, but telling a story that feels like one but technically isn't is a bit more intriguing imo. This is their best atmospherically imo, but Blackwater Park and Ghost Reveries better it in song-writing (even though that might not be the case for the latter tracks on Ghost Reveries).

Even though I've recently discovered that I love this band (early this year anyway), enough to change my username in their honour, I have no idea what any of the concepts are, it's not something I usually look into. Maybe I'll make an exception.

The concept of a ghost revisiting family and friends seems a bit meh but it’s actually really enjoyable
