Honestly, the only song that's lost its etertainment value for me is the t/t but everything else has grown a lot, especially Girl Loves Me which used to be my least fav

One of David Bowie's best records, and that's saying a lot. He really went out with a bang... This was a 4.5 for me already but the lyrics just make it an unforgettable experience, one that will stay with me for a long time; not to mention an instant classic. The sound of this record is something completely new for Bowie, which I really appreciated. His innovation was in full force here, with the heavy jazz influences. All songs are deeply heartfelt and there's not a single track that didn't make you feel something. Just an all around unforgettable album.

I'm curious what direction he was going in with the followup. This was such a perfect end to his career that I can't fathom where he would have gone from a record that really felt like the end.

Not sure if that comment was directed towards me, but I'm very familiar with all of Bowie's stuff except for a few records here and there. What I was asking is where would Bowie go after making a record explicitly about his own death. The subject matter and style marked a perfect end to his career and learning that he was indeed working on a followup to this makes me so curious.

'The subject matter and style marked a perfect end to his career and learning that he was indeed working on a followup to this makes me so curious.' - only Mr Bowie could write something knowing full well he'd never see its release and be totally okay with that. I too am seriously intrigued by this.
