I'm pretty sure he stated that the second disk was going to be something completely different from the first, didn't he?

"This is the full two disk, 2 hour long album sequenced as one long record, as it was meant to be heard."

Dudes own blurb on bandcamp.

You know what yeah he did say that, I think the philosophy behind it was that the 1st half represented the destructive nature of man towards the earth, while the 2nd half regarded the beauty of nature itself.

Yeah, I dislike the fact that he continues tries to push the bm and folk thing as a cohesive piece, as he did w/Kentucky. Obviously he implements the folk stuff really well into his black metal but when he's doing purely folk and purely black metal and putting them together, it doesn't feel like it goes.

To an extent I do actually like the juxtaposition on Kentucky and I do feel like the tracks work rather well on their own, but I will admit sometimes they feel a bit janky.

Kentucky is the worst Panopticon, or maybe Social Disservices.

New one sounds great, didn’t know it’d be a double album.

Kentucky is more enjoyable and entertaining so I guess it’s better. I can’t take it seriously on any level tho, sounds like joke music to me.

production/recording of kentucky is hella > than social, but if social had been recorded properly in the first place it woulda been way out of kentuck's league.

The first two Panopticons are excellent, almost as good as Roads and this.
