The violin isn't anything special but it's barely even used on this album. Some songs don't have any violins at all, and it's simply an accent in the songs that do have it. It works perfectly in songs like Through Gardens of Grief.

I love the violin despite it’s lack of panache. The production is crude but effective. I don’t really know what it is but this album just has ‘it’. Personality in abundance and mesmerising/interiguing song-writing.

With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness has some crazy instrumentation going on. I can't really remember this one very well so I should revisit soon probably.

Listening to the remaster on youtube makes me appreciate this insane piece of art even more. The pinnacle.

Man, if I had to choose a single album that represents the definition of metal, I'd choose this every day. It doesn't get much more insane than this.

Kusangii have you heard Cenotaph? Their last three albums are all great melodic death metal in the same vein as this and With Fear

Never heard of them. Should check it out right away if you're telling the truth

It’s Cenotaph (MX), not the other one. The first album is more gloomy death metal bu they went melodeath after, it’s all rad

Oh boy, they released their debut the same year as this one. That's a good sign
