The Revenant was one of the most beautifully shot films i've ever seen, the acting was great across the board but it dragged too much especially around the middle and the plot was stretched pretty thin across its 2 and a half hour run time and it really suffered because of this. Probably a 7.5-8/10 for me.

To be honest for me Hateful Eight was shot more beautifully than Revenant. It was just so gorgeous, and that opening scene had me in awe. I was disappointed it didn't get more oscars. They all pretty much went to Mad Max which for me was overrated like crazy.

I havent actually seen hateful 8 i might try to watch it tonight. Yeah i wasn't a fan of mad max at all, some great practical effects and cinematography but i hated the characters, the plot and the pacing, im not sure why all the film critics were having wet dreams about it.

Of course this has 254 ratings yet Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi doesn't even have a review. Overrated soundtrack (a phllip Glass rip off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEAPeDKUTLo) for an overrated sci-fi movie.

aren't you the same guy who said that the new Vektor sucked because they borrowed a single riff from Metallica?

Koyaanisqatsi is amazing for sure, but good poets steal, and I find the cynicism for composers like Zimmer to be a little tiring by now.
