Hey to become a mage in Cyrodiil at least it took some legwork. In Skyrim you can be half drunk and barely use a fireball spell and the guild is like "welcome our new Arch Mage!

im playing the original oblivion these days, and by god, when you reach level 15 or so, so many enemies are damage sponges which makes combat so fucking boring

gotta make custom destruction spells to beat the curve really and use the right spells for the right enemies

man my fireball does 70 dmg how is that not raelly powerful

Just max your stealth and archery out and you can bypass most of this game with ease

*Though if you want to be a total G (nerd) efficiency leveling + atronach birthsign is the trve way to play the game

Yea the leveling and auto scaling is busted. I just want to see good guilds again.

look up custom spells on the wiki
generally want to add a weakness to fire within the same spell
andd look up monster resistances as well
shock is good for daedra
fire for most undead
etc

my breton in oblivion remastered was able to one shot basically everything at lvl 20+
