last four tracks on this are all solid imo, Requiem is alright too, everything else is ugly

Most of the tracks on here are just parodies pretty much
Sheperd of Fire is Enter Sandman
Doing Time is most Guns N' Roses songs
This Means War is Sad but True
Crimson Day is every Poison ballad
Heretic is Symphony of Destruction
Coming Home is a less dark sounding Number of the Beast
Acid Rain is every Dream Theater ballad

the riff of hail to the king probably came from thunderstruck

most of that list is correct now that I think on it
some of those songs are good enough that a knock-off is still a good song though
only some

I loved COE when it came out.. Have really tried to get into every album since but they're just so bland! even COE hasn't really held up that well going back to it now.

This album is massively unmemorable

I dig this album a bit, but this is still one of the funniest reviews I've ever read on this site.

I want to see them rip like they did on City Of Evil.

New album previews sound lit, so I'm moderately hyped.

well they have the bad religion drummer, so thats an okay sign at least

This album has me somewhat cautious as to what they're gonna do next, but one of the previews sounded like a straight blend between WTF and COE so I'm keeping my hopes up a bit.

COE is still their best work by a ridiculous margin.

City of Evil is their best agreed. Band peaked hard with that album.

if City of Evil is their peak. they can retire. that kind of sound cannot be recovered on this post-screamo world. I like the new direction they are going with Hail to The King, and they can put out a excellent concert... hope next album they move foward not backwards.

My biggest problem with City of Evil is how irritating Shadow's vocals were at points, but he fixed that with the next album. Would totally be down for a City of Evil rehash, even though they aren't exactly the type of band to go backwards.
