I think every one of their albums has been its own beast. Malice is chaotic and lets up in ambient/melodic sections, Mirrors is unrelenting in density and force (probably my favourite), Controller had more rounded song structure and more melody driven into each song rather than in explicit melodic sections (Coma, Reset, Ebb and Flow).
This one I actually feel is a mix of all 3 with a little bit of a sway towards current trends. It's still 10x better than any band trying to do this sound though because they are just head and shoulders above everybody else as musicians.
