and my point is that when you speculate and assume, people won't take you seriously

but how is that relevant to anything else in the thread?

honestly you can go find interviews yourself, its not like theres a specific interview where some dude from the underground 80s is like "in 1984 we called sodom death metal, then in 85 we called em funk, then in 86 we called em thrash! haha, beer!!!"

fear, i didn't say they were dm as in that they are objectively dm, obviously that would be retarded,

and if you misinterpreted my comment as such, that's on you

I know that you meant objectively but still, I would like to see an interview you've seen about this. I'm not even arguing anymore, I just want to see if you can be the one person I've ever had an argument with who can actually provide info on their claims for once.

this is the man who wrote SLAYER MAGAZINE, arguably the most well-known underground metal fanzine of
the 80s

"I reviewed Under the Sign of the Black Mark in Slayer 5. When I randomly got a copy of the U.S.
version of this album on New Renaissance Records, they had printed one of my quotes as a selling point
sticker on the cover. I’m still very proud of that achievement! The quote was: “One of the best death
metal LPs ever recorded. Bathory shows that they stand head and shoulders above everyone else.”
Now, I know we can discuss for eternity what death metal really is and so on, but back then it was
OK to describe an album just as DEATH/THRASH/BLACK METAL….
I still stand behind those words
written in 1987 now in 2012 and beyond….. "
