It's a VO rip which is around 220kbps quality. In other words, it still sucks. The 320 one going round is a transcode, which basically means its 128kbps.

The VBR one sounds fine. It's infinitely better than the webrip that's been floating around, and the drop off from a legit 320 leak is negligible at best.



I don't get the hate on the production. The vocals and bass are mixed pretty high, but even onthe shitty speakers I've played it on nothing gets lost in the mix.

The production sounds pretty good from the the banshee video in high def, and thats with youtube compression. Though something about it is giving me a really hard late 90s/early 2000s atmosphere that I'm kinda digging. I can't pinpoint the technical aspects of sound mixing and production, but I can tell that some people would definitely dislike what I'm hearing.

Agreed that there are some lame vocal effects but I still think Jason is the best part of this release, the rest of them do alright but Jason is the only one that brought the energy from Fake History to this album. Still super pissed about this production. The guitars sound like absolute shit and the low end is way too loud. The drum bass may very well be the loudest thing on the album, except maybe the vocals.

I really do like this album, but I think next time you should seriously tone down the fanboyism though. Reviews are a funny thing, you want them to be personal but too personal and it becomes less about the music and record itself and more about your love for the band. I do agree that this is probably one of the best releases of 2013 though, it's certainly up there that's for sure.

so yeah got a hold of that v0 leak and you can tell it's genuine CD leak because Banshee has a few subtle differences.



the production really is pretty terrible. it's a bit better than that shitty youtube leak but not by much.
