Yeah, this was a big step up from Iowa and Slipknot. But MFKR wasn't that bad.

I liked Slipknot's self titled better than this, but obviously Iowa is at the bottom of the pile.

Great album, didn't really appreciate slipknot before this one. Good stuff: Before I Forget, Duality, Pulse Of The Maggots, Vermillion, and the Blister Exists

It's all just a bunch of Bullshit screaming. They've got no talent at all.

I'll agree with you on when his lyrics gain a lower tone to they don't sound as good, but they aren't intolerable either. They're OK.
As for the album itself? It was far from a let down for me. I was totally shocked when I heard it in comparison to the album before it [Iowa]. Iowa sucked over all. It had a few good songs, but it was just.. bleh. [I can go into a better description if I actually REALLY need to..]
They grew up, so to speak, with this album. MKFR sucked, but I blame that mostly on only semi-OK experimenting and a shitty vocalist. Their self-titled album was really ~good~. Iowa was a let down if you compare it to their self-titled album and an even further letdown if you compare it to Vol. 3!
I love how they can do both slow and fast stuff and still sound good either way. Like I said: It shows growth and the balls to prove they've grown.

Peter Criss your an idiot to say that they have no talent. Maybe theres some things that you don't like about their style and thats ok but have you heard this drummer??

i think Duality is their best song on this album and of all of Slipknot's CD's.
