"I just wish the production was as good as their last few albums"



yeaaaa idk, I kinda like this one's production the best. I guess the last couple of them objectively have better mixing, higher dynamic range and are more pleasant to listen for a longer period of time, but I kinda like the grittiness of this one, just sounds like it has more punch than those albums. it's probably just because the guitars are louder and nastier lol m/

Yeah, Christian's guitar work was insane. I kinda miss the more shreddy counterbalance he had with Lille's perfectionism. The slam in Lust for Transcendence kicked my ass on first listen, it's so cool.

The lyrics are a big step up too. The classic gory shit is cool, but I think from here onwards they really honed in on being really goddamn bleak.
