Gauze is also fantastic but it's VERY 90s visual kei, so yeah that'll be an odd sell to anyone thinking that this is their sound.

And yeah, the Unraveling era hit different.

After 11 years of hunting, I finally got my hands on a first pressing of this. Would have been easier trying to hunt down rocking horse shit.

Discog in the end, mate. I’m normally pretty good at scoping out hard to find items, but I’ve just never actually seen one of these in the 11 years it’s been out; no one’s willing to part with it lol

I'm going to Japan in July and my temptation to go hunting for used Dir stuff is very high.

So, I attended their shows in the UK recently and Day 2 was the best concert I have ever been to. I'll comment more on it another day, but for now...I'll just say it was everything I ever wanted, mindblowing show.

I was there with Calc and I can confirm.

Experiencing this album live, even if they skipped the wonderful "Ware, Yami Tote..." as they tend to do, was a total blast.

Yeah, this is still fantastic. One of the most satisfying heavy bands when it comes to delivering moments of consonance well-earned. So many huge moments. Rarely (if ever) overdone, weirdly (considering how they embrace over-the-top-ness, lol)

I’ve heard this a few times since but I swear getting into it I wasn’t aware how much songs like Ware & Gaika slapped

of course I was all about the prog epic in Vinushka, seems about right
