this album is money but man they gave this such an unfairly hard opening run lmao. this album definitely needed more songs that just rip all the way through and putting them all so early makes the overreliance on shanes not very good choruses throughout the record a little fatiguing

i do think it kinda brings itself around with the last two but yeah the mid stretch of this album gets a little rough in places. tracks 7-8 are pretty fillery to me. i have the opposite problem with son of the morning where that album doesnt really get going until world around the sun

So there are parts here that I really like and parts that really do nothing to me and make me want to turn this off. The record feels undeveloped to me, I wish their songs were more streamlined. Feels a bit too much like different parts thrown together and the band wishing something sticks.
