i'm actually going to be honest here and i may sound really stupid idk
pop music is pop music and it can have cheesy music and bad lyrics and i really don't care i don't find that really offensive. like that will i am album i'm sure would not upset me at all it would just be like yay dance music
music like macklemore that is not aiming for that level (and don't pretend he is) i would say i hold to a different standard. and well he sucks ass on that standard. if this was filled with 'thrift shop's and 'can't hold us'es and 'and we danced's (that song is a jam) i don't think i'd really mind it, even though those songs are pretty bad. but it's not, it's a rather horrifying balance between mindless pop and overly cheesy ballads with pretty awful rapping. so, yeah. if will.i.am sang about saving the environment i'd find him just as offensive as macklemore
