Absolutely good thing to have them near you in any format.

Are they all from the remastered series though? If yes, seek out the originals asap, in one way or another

yeah they're the remasters, that's all I was able to find around here

I'm a pleb though so the sound doesn't bother me much, but I do plan on getting this and probably Rage for Order on vinyl eventually

"in one way or another" :D

The remastered series is generally seen very badly, for good reasons. The classic Ryche albums all have unique production that deserves to be heard well. Empire for example is a great case of a "commercial sounding" CD that actually sounds very good despite the arena approach.

If you are looking for vinyl you're lucky. Both Empire and Promised Land are going to be reissued on February 10th. Empire was becoming scarce, let alone Promised Land that was basically non-existent by now.

I may have to snatch a copy of Empire, it's the only classic Ryche I don't have on vinyl

oh shit, didn't know about those reissues. definitely going to pick up those two and Mindcrime then; looks like Rage for Order is out of print/a lot harder to find.

Take a look around sites like Discogs before going on a shop craze, if you are willing to accept used copies you may find some sweet deals. Promised Land is the only one (speaking of vinyl) that goes for really prohibitive prices there I think
