Album Rating: 2.5
This website is a lot more easy on this album than any BTBAM because this gets/got enough flack in the mainstream media so everybody on this site that doesn't like this album basically says, "What's the point?".

The mainstream media likes this album.

...but then there's the asshole music purists who constantly label this album as the selling out point in Green Day's career.

Three Cheers is not overblown tho :o
|

Album Rating: 4.0
This album thrives off itself being overblown, 3 Cheers is just generic and bland.

| |
Album Rating: 3.5
The reason that this has the same average is because this had a lot of hate ratings when Green Day purists insisted that this album was the death of Green Day. If people didn't like Three Cheer for Sweet Revenge, they didn't like MCR to begin with more than likely and never fooled with the album. This album is polarizing. Sweet Revenge was simply made for MCR fans.

Three Cheers is generic but not bland. It's strength lies in the fact that it's generic, it doesn't do anything new, but rather refines what's there already. It checks all the boxes and improves upon them.
