Why the hell are people banging on about Ruin on this album review? This is a very good album, which has a better production quality and concept than Ruin. This album is definitely better than a 3.

If you take out "Truth, Be Told," "Behind the Throne," and "Unbeliever" and then add in "Black Blood" and "Cracks in the Earth," from the U.S. reissue at the end, this album is closer to a 4 rather than a 3

Architects' "slower" songs have never really done much for me, and the three on this really take me out of the album and ruin the pacing

Their slower songs certainly are a whole different beast as opposed to songs like Alpha Omega and their usual aggressive side, but I've always been a fan of both. It's understandable as to why people can't get into it though. Personally I thought Unbeliever was the perfect way to close out this album, as it has both the aggressive side and the soft side

I listened to the bonus version of this today and was caught way off guard with the Bon Iver cover. Loved it though

It just blows me the fuck away that Tom passed away. I can't even imagine what those dudes must be going through. So sad.

I really think Rise Against should have closed this album out. And yea it was a complete shock when Tom passed. Major props for the band to continue to play and tour

It sounded like they were gonna call it quits after a couple of tours since he passed, but at the rate they're going I think they'll keep chugging along. Probably a change in sound since Tom did all of the writing from this album onward
