Spoiled the whole series! Haha no I left the important details out of the scene for the most part. You kinda know all that early on. It's a good show for 4 seasons, after that it's kinda bad. It was cool to hear a sample of it used so successfully though. I'm used to hearing cool sampling where I have no idea where it's from.

The vocal sample on Ennio's Eden brings me back to Embryo a bit, although they're used quite differently.

It actually reminds me of the vocal sample on Swarms's Sky Below Sea, in how it actually sounds.
The whole of Ennio's Eden is just epic though. The lack of any drums or beat just lets it float away into space

At first listen it was rather meh (only 3 last songs hooked my attention). Now I'm on third listen and I'm starting to love it.

Yeah honestly, this is probably his most cohesive album. There's standout moments of course, but the experience is the whole package

I would have started but I haven't listened to this yet. I am always about to press Play All and then I find something else.

"Even his expanded use of vocals in ‘Demon Drum’, ‘Restraint’ and ‘Lurking In The Shadows’ fail to provide much-needed comfort; instead he turns the tables on their complacency, strangling them into mutated garbles and lost transmissions. Stuttering and pitch-shifted, he robs them of their identity but not their intent, making them suffer in broken prayer."

Yes. I've always loved Clubroot for being so spacey and alien. When I heard these clear spoken vocals come to the forefront of the mix I was worried that they would take away from that, but just for a moment. It's almost like a tease. "You think this it's time to dance and be happy? hahahaha"

TND just posted about this. Didn't really expect him to know about it, unless it was this site that brought it to his attention

Fantano is ok, I just can't stand how he acts like Death Grips are rewriting the rules or something.

but anyway, I know I'm late (even though I'm pretty sure this isn't even out yet...haha) this is incredible. 'Lurking in the Shadows' holy shit. I like this more than his first two easily and after only 3 spins.
