Chan's review was insanely well-written, but I feel like at the same time a ton of people have just completely avoided this album exclusively because of his opinion. And that just makes me sad, but I suppose it's inevitable.

Yeah he does come off as just the kind of hipster douchebag he was insulting in the original song, mainly because he doesn't call himself out at any point in the song so it all just sounds very preachy and obtuse. There are a few moments I like in the song musically but that's just because he re-hashes from the original song which is probably the best Bemis ever wrote.



I quite like a good chunk of this album though, particularly the first few songs.
