This was a 1992 eye opener for me when I was 12/13 yrs old.
I loved it, it was so entwined into the era and sounded so solid.
That 31 year span of time again I’ll be 74/75yrs old 😳
If I haven’t carked it I’ll still be listening to this timeless record.

A stunner

baby, instant soup doesn't really grab me - today I need something more sub-sub-sub-substantial
a can of beans or black-eyed peas, some Nescafé and ice... a candy bar, a falling star, or a reading from Dr. Seuss

Substantial back in the day was a can of beans which was more than enough to suffice.
Not like nowadays where it’s fat fuckers waddling around continually grazing on muck

Saw this footage the other day of the tube back in the sixties, everyone well turned out, even the casual clothes looked really smart and not a chubber in sight.

There’s a photo in an Arsenal boozer of their fans in the clock end taken in the 60s
Trim, immaculately dressed, all in shirt and tie and all happy. It’s a really impressive photo but just shows our ‘progression’ into complete blobs.

Nightswimming deserves a quiet night
I'm not sure all these people understand
It's not like years ago
The fear of getting caught
Of recklessness and water
They cannot see me naked
These things they go away
Replaced by everyday
Best album of all time
