so true. this has been the case for so many bands. they linger on and on and on and then the album released at a date considerably far away is just disappointing and doesn't live up the overbuilt hype

It's particularly true with these younger technical metal bands. There are just so many now, that if you don't "copyright" your sound asap, some other band is going to steal it and you'll be shadowed forever.
