they did a really good alt press interview too, I recommend checking it out. highlights include that this album is largely a bunch of demoes recorded in a basement (really impressive production on the album it would seem) and that this may not actually be the last cave in album

I kinda wish it went of into a proggy minute or so at the end but it sounds like early 2000 era cave in. Which is dope!

Album leaked and it's killer. Heavy Jupiter and PPB vibes throughout and it's literally exactly what I wanted from them, although there's not any of Caleb's screams other than a bit in "Led To The Wolves". It's really the perfect mix of the Creative Eclipses through Antenna era with the heaviness and aggression perfectly balanced with the spacey/psychedelic stuff

It's a 320kbps vinyl rip, quality is fantastic but I'm sure the released digital tracks are going to be a bit better / clearer

That was a major disappointment for me too when i found out this was the case. Even if the album is as good as Strizz says (it probably is), it's shortness will leave me wanting more

It's honestly the perfect length. Really lends itself to repeat listens.

Honestly Id love so much if some of teh tracks went into like an extra minute of some proggy esque cave in. But im happy with it.

new decibel mag has an interview with the band and newton and turner. in it brodsky mentions that same if the songs on the record were only performed once. once! that’s insane (and maybe why we don’t get that extra minute anywhere). these songs aren’t as fleshed out as they might’ve been

That's fucking rad. The album's definitely got that slightly-unfinished quality to it, but the songs are great and the band is tight as fuck. I can only imagine how it could've turned out with more time.

It’s definitely obvious that the writing was unfinished but some songs being played only once is insane

The more I listen to this band the more similarities I can think of between these guys and Radiohead like

*Beyond hypothermia is their Pablo honey

*UYHS and this are like their OK Comp and Kid A

*Antenna was seen as a dissapoiment to some fans at first like Amnesiac was

*Almost everything they've done since utilized elements of their two Star albums
